Job Overview

As a Django Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services using Django and Python. You'll work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Django and Django REST Framework
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Design and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests using Pytest
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain and improve existing codebases
• Deploy and monitor applications using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Document technical specifications and API endpoints

Required Qualifications

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL (Graphene-Django)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js)
• Experience with data scraping tools (Scrapy, BeautifulSoup)
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (Locust, K6)
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience with automated deployment and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
